First things first. What the heck even is ‘permanent makeup’? Well...it’s a form of cosmetic tattooing which produces long-lasting enhancements resembling everyday makeup such as eyebrows, eyeliner or lipstick. The technique can also be used to replicate realistic-looking eyebrows for those who have lost their real hair due to over-plucking,  disease or genetic disturbance, such as alopecia or chemotherapy. The unique formation of needles (slanted, from shortest to longest) allows the artist to create the look of real eyebrow hairs by tattooing very fine hair-like strokes in the skin.  ‘Shading’ is a technique done using a special tool that adds color definition to the brows, creating a shadow effect that mimics real-life fullness. ‘Blade and Shade’ is a technique where the artist uses both microblading and shading to achieve a harmonized, natural appearance, as the shadow and strokes blend together to create dimension with hair strokes and definition in tandem. Now that you understand the PMU jargon, you might be wondering why anyone would have a procedure like this. Well, my friends, I have a question for you:
